Our History
Mela Solutions was originally founded in 1999 by Cristina Willans, a paediatrics and emergency care doctor who understood data’s decisive role in delivering and improving care.
Mela Solutions pioneered some of the earliest medical databases for audits and reporting. Our aim was to support specialist teams in improving data quality by simplifying its management, and maximising its value for service improvements, clinical research and auditing.
Since then, we’ve grown to cover a broad range of medical specialties. More recently, our focus has shifted towards advanced analytics, using the latest technology to help teams make the most of their data for informed decision-making and enhanced patient care.
